I’m going to be in attendance at UFC 186 Montreal. I got tickets on the first pre-sale day, so you can picture my disappoinment when the main event of Dillashaw vs Barao was scrapped from the card. It was already a fairly weak card and now there’s really only 2 or 3 legitimate big fights. I wouldn’t be surprised if this UFC PPV is one of the worst in the companies history. That said, I’m still excited for Saturday. I’m happy Rampage is back on the card and the Bisping fight also has me excited.
UFC Rockhold vs Machida was an amazing card last weekend. I went 3 for 4 on my picks.

Demetrious Johnson vs Kyoji Horiguchi
I like Horiguchi’s speed. If he’s able to not get totally outclassed by Demetrious Johnson I think he has a shot to either pull out a knockout or somehow get a decision victory against the long time Flyweight Champ. With other champions falling lately, it also has me thinking it’s more of a possibility than I may have previously thought. I also see Horiguchi’s last fights and think he’s a more legitimate contender than Johnson’s previous fights such as Chris Cariaso and even Ali Baugatinov. It still might be too early for Horiguchi to try his luck against the champ, but I give him a shot.

CB Dolloway vs Michael Bisping
Bisping is great at marketing himself, but I just don’t see him as an elite fighter at Middleweight in the UFC anymore. These two are ranked #10 and #11 respectively, so a win will definitely earn one of these men a shot against one of the divisions top fighters. I think Dolloway is closer to that level than Bisping though. If you take away his tough TKO loss to Machida back in December, Dolloway was coming off of two big victories and looking very good.
Bisping on the other hand seems to always get a win over a lower ranked opponent after having yet another chance at a top fighter in the division. In his last 7 fights he has losses to Chael Sonnen, Vitor Belfort, Tim Kennedy and Luke Rockhold. These are top fighters at Middleweight, but in between his wins haven’t been nearly as impressive. I have Dolloway as someone kind of in between the top end and outside the ranking fighters that Bisping has fought for the past 5 years.

Rampage Jackson vs Fabio Maldonado
This fight is now at a catchweight 215 because Rampage wasn’t sure he was still fighting until just a couple days ago. I think that still hurts Rampage’s chances in this one because Maldonado should be fresher, as he was expected to have a replacement fight. I see this fight going one of two ways. Either Rampage winning via a knockout or Maldonado winning a tight decision victory because he’s able to push the pressure for the full 3 rounds.
I think the Maldonado win is more likely.
